These Brain Exercises May Slow Down Alzheimer’s Disease

In this CBN News video, neurologist Dr. Andre Fredieu from the Carrick Brain Center talks about brain exercises that have been found to help patients with Alzheimer’s disease.

Explore the brain to uncover the secrets of Alzheimer’s disease. 

The center reports successful stories of many Alzheimer’s patients who have either regained precious memories or have grown less anxious and more confident since undergoing some of the exercises.

Although the brain exercises do not cure Alzheimer’s disease or stop its progression, they have seemed to slow down the progression, giving patients and families more quality time together.

The center also focuses on diet for Alzheimer’s patients and recommends people with the disease avoid processed grains and foods with trans-fats. There is also some evidence that the inclusion of coconut oil may be beneficial for some patients.

  1. Since my grandpa developed Alzheimer’s, I’ve been terrified of coming down with the condition myself. The last thing I want to do is get really sick when I can avoid it. Do you have any other tips about avoiding Alzheimer’s? What about other brain conditions?

      Hi Johnny. We are sorry to hear about your grandpa. Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease to both the individual and the family. We are not aware of any way to avoid Alzheimer’s. All we can do is suggest ways to help strengthen your brain to help retain information and memories.
