The patients were required to wear the headpiece for 15 hours a day, six days a week but results showed many experienced improved memory and independence and some even saw a reduction in incontinence issues. However, the therapy only works as a continued treatment, researchers found that once the patient stopped wearing the headset, the positive outcomes diminished quickly.
