Why did we switch to a subscription model?
We serve at the pleasure of our readers — a service, like all businesses, that comes with a cost. Publishing the web’s most comprehensive platform for Alzheimers news, columns, patient perspectives and resources requires a significant investment of resources each month for our talented and growing staff of PhD researchers, veteran journalists, talented social media team, and patient columnists.
Unfortunately, there’s no such thing as free digital news and content.
We’ve determined that a low-cost subscription model (that costs as little as $0.16 a day!) is the best route to keep high quality, independent content flowing to our audience.
This was a difficult decision, but one we think is necessary to maintaining our journalistic independence and continuing to grow the Alzheimers News platform. We look forward to continuing to serve the Alzheimers community and hope that you’ll join us along the way.
